Hi. My name is Daniel. I created Discerning Sommelier because I wanted to offer more than just another wine subscription or a generic wine-related experience. I believe that wine is about more than just what’s in the glass. I wanted to create an ecosystem where my wine club members and guests of my tastings feel two things:
- A deeper connection to the winemakers, the community, and the terroir behind the wines they’re drinking.
- A personal connection with me, your sommelier, who’s here to help with all your wine needs.
How do I plan to do that? First, I’ll carefully select wines for the wine club and for private tastings that tell a story—special bottles from winemakers and regions worth knowing.
Second, I’m here for you as your personal sommelier. Whether you need advice on pairings, help building a wine collection, or guidance for a special event, I’m just a message away.
